We offer a complete range of industrial Air Conditioning and (optional) heating systems, suitable for installation on various different vehicles, both above and underground. These systems are designed for the high shock and high dust burdens experienced in the mining environment. The systems are based on existing designs, and as such are available on significantly shorter lead times. These units are easily customisable to your specific application.

Configurations offered are split or integrated, internal mount or external mount industrial HVAC systems. Materials of construction are typically carbon steel, but various grades of stainless steel are also available. Power supplies are typically 24VDC with an engine driven compressor or 380V/3Ph/50 Hz, however many other drive options are available.

Heating can be provided by either hot water, via the engine or a dedicated diesel water heater, electric, or a dedicated diesel air heater, fitted to the cab. Heavy duty air filtration systems, including self-scavenging filtration systems, can be incorporated as well, in addition to the standard air filtration offered.

SY-KLONE

Advanced precleaning and filtration systems for vehicular HVAC units and engines.

Booyco Engineering is an authorised reseller of Sy-Klone International’s exceptional products. Designed to operate in the harshest most debris-laden environments Sy-Klone’s advanced precleaning and filtration products protect engines and operators alike by removing debris from airflow providing clean air to the system.

These products can be retrofitted into existing systems, increasing uptime for heavy equipment engines and keeping operators safe and healthy with clean air environments.

Auxiliary Power Unit (APU)

Anti-idle power supply that can run a 24 VDC air-conditioning system and critical vehicle systems when the main engine is off.

This stand-alone APU is designed to reduce fuel and maintenance costs as well as CO₂ emissions of mining vehicles, while extending the life of the vehicle.

Compact and rugged, 24 VDC auxiliary power unit (APU).
Supplies 28 VDC to the vehicle batteries to run a 24 VDC air conditioning system and vehicle ancillaries.
Reduces vehicle fuel consumption by enabling the main vehicle engine to be switched off during waiting periods.
Can save between 35 and 55ℓ of fuel per hour during waiting periods when installed on a typical mining dump truck. (e.g. Caterpillar 777)

BUSHCOOLER

On-site cooling unit for the precooling of bushes, shafts and other interference fit components.

Convenient and cost effective mobile chiller room designed to safely precool bushes and shafts for shrink and interference fits for large applications, prior to installation. Ideal for the manufacture, maintenance or repair of mining equipment.
